We have Goats

We have purchased 9 goats for weed control. 2 bucks. Loki is a spanish Boer cross. Guinness is a LaMancha.

2 Does. Stella came with 2 kids that were a week old. Transporting the kids Pat held them in her lap for the 30 mile trip home. The kids were quite content to lay there and occasionally make a little bleating noise. Gemini came with a 3 month old buck who was just banded.

Then there was the 2 wethers Orion and Draco. The 2 wethers and Gemini were Stella's triplets from last year.

They are in pens vacated by the pigs right now while building fence. Driving t-posts is slow right now. The ground is HARD as adobe block. So I only put in about 5 to 10 a day. Miss some days...

Putting in corner and gate posts is not any faster. Most of the holes will not drill right away with my posthole digger. Have to start the hole with the spoons and generally finish with a rock bar. A bucket of water overnight helps some.
